Documentary Subjects

Carolyn Rush
Carolyn is a good friend of mine's mom who works in the OIT department at Notre Dame University. She graduated from Bethel College with a degree in education and communications. As long as I have known her she has been working with phones for ND. On her free time she likes to quilt and is part of a quilting group that has gatherings once a month.

Questions:

1. What led you to work with phones at ND?
2. What are some of the things you do for the campus?
3. Did you imagine yourself landing a job at ND?
4. Has your position changed at all when you first started working at ND?
5. Have you worked anywhere else besides ND or have done anything else?
6. What are some of the requirements to work for in your position?
7. What made you study the major you chose in college but not stick with it in your career?
8. What are some of the benefits of working at ND?
9. If you could would you ever work anywhere else whether it be on ND campus or not?
10. What are some of the challenges that your position faces?

Mark Wray
Mark is a relative of mine who graduated from Purdue University down in West Lafayette with a degree in Supervision. He currently works at a steel mill known as Arcelor Mittal which is east of Chicago along the Indiana harbor. There he fulfills his job of supervising at a large plant while being a part of an important industry.

Questions: 

1. What is it like working at a steel mill? What does a typical work day look like? 
2. Have you always worked at the mill? If not where else and what was your position? 
3. What are some of the requirements that your position does? 
4. How long does it take to produce a roll of steel? 
5. How does your plant compare to other steel plants around the world and here in the US? 
6. What made you want to study supervision? 
7. What is the average price of a coil of steel and who do you produce steel for? 
8. What part of the plant do you work at and what part does it play in the creation of steel? 
9. Was your intent with your major to work at a large plant or factory and what led you to this one?
10. If you could would you work somewhere else or even at a different steel mill? 

Wyatt Smith
Wyatt is my pastor at county line brethren church. He graduated from Bethel College and has preached at his previous home down in Arkansas and now preaches here in Lakeville, IN. He is a good mentor to me as well as others.

Questions:

1. Where all have you preached in your lifetime?
2. Besides preaching is there any outside work that you do such as other jobs?
3. Is there volunteer or community work that you do? If so what?
4. Would you say that your mentoring has had an impact on the people you mentored too?
5. Have you ever worked with youth groups? If so What were some of the activities you did?
6. What is your vision or future in terms of the churches growth?
7. What are some of the things that you want people to hear or get across in your sermons?
8. How has a major in this field impacted your life and the others that you teach?
